The director Campbell had once alluded to a trilogy of Green Lantern films being on the table, and the film itself was supposed to launch the DC Cinematic Universe. The 2011 live-action movie Green Lantern had a lot of things going for it when it was first announced it was going to happen. The Green Lantern film has touched down on Netflix, and its appearance in the streamer’s top 10 charts may have sparked curiosity as to the potential of a sequel rising from the ashes with Ryan Reynolds back behind the CGI mask.
